In the process of laser metal cutting , cutting head of fiber laser cutting machine often crash metal pieces , that will damage laser head , lost cutting accuracy and down production effective . How to avoid the collision of the fiber laser head of the cutting machine is a basic safety issue, especially in the blank between two graphics. Because the idling speed of cutting head is higher than cutting speed, when the workpiece protrudes from the board surface, it is more likely to hit the workpiece on the side of the laser head. If collisions cannot be effectively avoided, the production efficiency of the laser metal cutting machine will drop, and accidents may even be caused due to damage to the laser head.
In order to help customers solve this problem , we have equipped the laser machine with an active anti-collision function, which is more suitable for the actual cutting needs , greatly improves the safety and production efficiency of metal cutting machinery. When an obstacle is detected, the Z-axis responds at high speed to avoid the obstacle. The obstacle, axis speed and height are perceived in advance to improve the obstacle avoidance ability. When an obstacle is detected, the Z-axis speed is increased to twice their normal speed to shorten the Z-axis on-board time to avoid interference for the fiber cutting machine caused by the warping of cutting parts in the process of sheet batch cutting.
Without the active anti-collision function , the probability of the laser head hitting the plate is 2%, which can easily cause the dislocation of working pieces and the scrapped parts. Then worker need make reposition again, which seriously affects the processing efficiency. The collision probability with active anti-collision is as low as 1%, which can improve cutting stability of the laser cutting machine. According to our inspection, 40% reasons that cause laser head damaged is from the crash between cutting head and metal pieces . With the anti-collision function , greatly reduces the probability of carsh , reduces the maintenance cost of customers, avoids downtime caused by maintenance, and prolong machine lifetime .
